I'm a big fan of characters like Shanna the She Devil and judging from the setting and the women's garb, this looks like it could be the setup for a great story!

Yup! Trying out new color schemes/techniques in attempts to create a darker "horror" feel to the comics. I do think I've reached the "not beyond this point" with the last two covers though. lol
